Everthing You Needed To Know About 6 Pack Abs Workouts Fast

Lisa asks…
what is the easiest and fastest ab workout that provides abs in 6-8 weeks?
im 13 i have an average body…i dnt have abs but wen i lean back and then flex it gets rock hardd im juss looking for A 6-8 WEEK ROUTINE OF WORKOUTS NO PILLS OR SURGERY JUST PURE WORKOUT FOR PACK OR SIX IT DNT MATTER

Dirk answers:
Jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
An excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Steve asks…

Dirk answers:
They just appear when you least expect them. I’m serious. You can not hurry them. Your body will let you know later when it is ready..

Mark asks…
How can i get abs fast?
Well i know how to get abs but my real question is….How does a person prevent themselves from getting a “gut 6 pack“. Thats the only way to describe it. When a persons stomach still bulges out but in 6 pack form. I’ve heard it has to do with no sucking in your stomach when you do abworkouts. I’ve also heard it is caused by doing ab workouts using heavy weights?
does anyone know what causes this and how to prevent it?

Dirk answers:
Getting abs requires a lot of hard work. There is no such thing as getting them fast. Those stupid TV gimmicks don’t work.
Exercising daily (focus on ab exercises and at least 1 hour of cardio a day to get shredded abs) and eat properly (you need 1.5 -2g of protein per lb of body weight every day to help w/ muscle growth.) Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day. Cut out the junk food. Eat 5 meals a day, much smaller portions every 2-3 hours.

Wayne asks…
6-Pack (abs not beer!)?
I’m 15 years old and I want a 6-pack (abs) What would be the best way to get my goal? Can somegive me a workout to do every night that would be the fastest, most effiecient, way to get a 6-pack. Thanks!

Dirk answers:
Welcome to the club. I’m 15 year old and also want a 6-pack. Don’t we all?
Anyway, everyone already naturally has a six pack. It is just covered by layers of fat. To get your abs to show, you have to have/get a very low body fat percent, do lots of cardio (I suggest you start running two to three miles 4 or 5 times a week, that’s what I do), and eat very healthy. Like no junk food whatsoever pretty much.
Doing sit-ups strengthens your ab muscles, but will not give you a six-pack no matter how many you do. (Trust me on that one, I used to do 96 sit-ups in two minutes every other day, and it didn’t do one bit of good, though I did have an incredible amount of ab strength!) You could do like 50-70 sit-ups about three times a week or so just to build up some strength.
Warning: don’t be surprised if you don’t get your six-pack real soon even if you follow the above instructions to the letter. Some young teens (like us) have a hard time getting a six-pack because we still have “baby fat” that just won’t go away and are still growing. My dad says that’s why I don’t have a six pack and that when I’m 17 or so, I probably will get one. Just thought I’d let you know.
Good luck. Hope this helped.

Jim asks…
Will this workout give me six pack abs?
I’m 13 years old and very skinny. For the past 3 days, I’ve been doing 400 crunches, 100 side crunches on each side, 100 bicycle crunches, running a mile, and keeping my legs lifted off the ground by 6 inches for 5 minutes. By 1 months time, do you think I would have six pack abs? Are there better exercises than these? Are some of the ones I’m doing useless? Any tips to get abs faster?
Confused I do reps of 20, then take a 15 second break. Once I get to 100, I’ll take a small 5 minute break and repeat.

Dirk answers:
Keep this up for 1-2 more months(your total time doing this should be 3 months). If you don’t see any results, then it’s not enough intensity.
Are you doing 400 crunches straight, or do you divide and get a total of 400 reps? Maybe 4×100 reps.
You will eventually need to stress your abs with weights, and pretty much anything that weighs can be used. Hanging leg raises are very good, and you should add those in after your third month.
Squats are great for abs. You don’t even need direct ab work when doing heavy squats, although I don’t recommend squats to a 13 year old with shitty technique(get a trainer).
Aside from that, since you’re really skinny you will also have a hard time gaining muscle weight. You need to increase your caloric intake and basically EAT more. A lot more! Just eat, although junk food is accepted somewhat, don’t over do it. Eat more eggs, milk and meat. Fish is great, especially salmon and other fatty fishes. Seeds and beans are great and contain lots of fibers, while containing limited carbohydrates. Vegetables? Plenty. Fruits are great for vitamins AND energy.
If you have any further IN-DEPTH questions, you can mail me. I’m not giving you a program, as I don’t believe just handing out whatever works for you over there internet to a guy I know nothing about. I will however give you guidelines and tips that work for most people regardless of their genetics or body type.

Paul asks…
6 Pack Abs and Carbs?
Hi,
So right now I have been lifting for almost two years. I am 16 years old and I have a very low body fat percentage and a high metabolism.
All of my weight lifting friends have put me in the mindset that I need to follow their very intense eating plans (6 meals a day, mainly protein, very low carb intake). However, I really am getting sick of this kind of lifestyle. I come from a family that loves to make food and very large meals.
I was wondering, is it possible for me to eat more normally (I would still avoid soda, fast food, candy) and still have my well defined six pack (I would continue to run and workout)?

Dirk answers:
Yes it is very possible! Back in high school i ran track nd took a couple of weightlifting classes but aye just about any thing I wanted(no soda or candy though) nd kept my 6 pak.. Now that I’m in college running for NC State University I’m on amore stricter diet nd workout routine nd have moved up to a 8pak nd less than 8% body fat

Charlie asks…
What’s the most fast, effecient way to some nice toned abs?
I’m a 35 year old male (5’7″, 160 lbs) , who has a small gut that has come with age. I’m not very active on a daily basis, but I would like to find a small workout routine that would help me rid myself of this small potbelly. I’m not looking for 6-pack abs, just nice and toned.
Thanks!

Dirk answers:
Monkey business, the answer man is here to help and once you get the best answer from me you can check me so I can get the points, but your tight tummy is my worries now not the points you will give me.
Lets start out, your 35, three years my senior, your build is what I would call average. There is no real way to get those abs you see in the books. Yes there is a way, but it takes effort and your quote “Im not very active” worries me. I will give you the honest and best answer. In order to see those abs you have to decrease what is between everyones eyes and your abs and that is a layer of fat. Now not everyone looses fat in the same place the quickest. First you have to do cardiovascular activity to burn calories. Now your body might not decide that the abs is the first place to loose that so it may take time. But the key here is cardio. Once you loose the fat the key is diet. Know this, you could do sit ups crunches all day and that really is not going to give you the abs. You have to lessen the fat bewteen the muscles and the outside. Only then will you see your abs. Your priority should be more cardio. Running, biking, things like that. Watch your diet. With just those you could have a trim stomach with definition and not do a whole lot of crunches or sit ups
Happy ab hunting!

Everthing You Needed To Know About Abs Workouts At Home For Women

Nancy asks…
So moms, what do you think about this?? A little hypocritical, don’t you think?
Please watch this:
http://video.foxnews.com/v/4162043/jillian-says-having-babies-ruins-bodies/?playlist_id=86877
So this woman is good at getting people in shape. Great. Just a little workout everyday and watch what you eat and you’ll be fit. Portrays the attitude that’s it’s a lack of will power that’s to blame for the fat. Stop being lazy, and look like me. How about she have 2-4 kids and have a real job or stay at home with the kids, and be time crunched with soccer practice and then see how that body looks. Then we can all tell her that she’d have rock hard abs if she would just be less lazy.
I liken this to: a single person giving marital advice, or someone with no kids giving advice on how to parent.
So what do you think?? I’d love to hear:)
Just because somebody has a few letters after their name (PHD, or MD), doesn’t mean they are smarter than you. I have met way too many stupid doctors. Experience is the best teacher. Example: I told my OB that I had gestational diabetes because I’d had 2 previous pregnancies with it. The OB told me I was wrong. At 39 weeks I delivered an 11 lb 4 oz baby who went into the NICU with horrendously low blood sugars levels and was diagnosed as an infant of a diabetic mother. Who was right? My son’s GI doctor couldn’t put 2 and 2 together. I did. My son’s dicarboxylic aciduria was caused by his enteral nutrition. Again I was right. Letters after your name doesn’t mean you’re smarter

Dirk answers:
It’s all about people generalizing and not understanding that there are unique situations and body types out there.
Best just to ignore it. It people are happy the way they are, then that’s all that matters. At the end of the day, the judgemental people aren’t paying your bills, buying you healthy food, and helping you find time to get in shape so screw them all
EDIT: It’s also the, “I could do it, so everyone else can too” attitude. It gets old after a while. I don’t understand why people think that if they can do something then so can everyone else. Not everyone can go on a t.v. Show and get to lose weight.

Everthing You Needed To Know About Abs Workouts For Men

Mike asks…
All men, i have a question about my arms/pecs/abs.?
I work out alot, i play baseball and stuff. and me and my gf have been going out for 14 months. and were in a long distance relationship! now! on the arms/pecs/abs! i have heard that to make your arms/pecs/abs (we will just call them all “apa” for now.) out right before you see someone, they will be the biggest then, or look the best. ive also heard to give it a three day rest. also to work them out the hardest the night before? What do you think?? should i give some rest, and others workout the hardest the day or night before? anything? fyi, i ddon’twant it so that there all soft but big, id rather them be a little smaller, but harder, then bigger, but goes down like a balloon.

Dirk answers:
Hi bro. It is absolutely essential to give your body a rest of atleast 3 days after heavy work ups. Body in between take rest and grow at its pace without hurting too much.read abt the big giants if u want to , they all prefer to give their body rest after such sessions. There is absolutely no doubt abt it. I have read a lot abt it

Steve asks…
I need some structure for my workouts….?
I recently joined a gym. I work out there on Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Sunday mornings. They have every possible cardio and weight machine known to man. I have been getting decent workouts, but always seem to roam aimlessly from machine to machine. The muscle groups I want to work out are, but not limited to:
Pecs, Delts, Traps, Biceps, Triceps, Quads, Calves, Abs, Glutes, Hamstrings.
What days should I do which exercises? Also, should I do cardio (bike/ treadmill) every day after weight training? What about swimming?
Basically I just want some structure without having to pay a trainer 60 bucks an hour.

Dirk answers:
My advice would be to ask some of the more “seasoned” members what they do. If at all possible, try to work opposing muscle groups on the same day. For example, if you work the biceps, also work the triceps. Hamstrings and quads should also be done in tandem. Do not work the same muscle groups on concurrent days. I noticed you did not mention any of the side muscle groups. Don’t neglect the lats, obliques and inner/outer thighs. They don’t seem important until they are underdeveloped and cause injuries. You certainly can do cardio every day if you so desire…but don’t do so much that it exhausts you and hampers your strength training. Also, change them around from time to time. Do cardio first on some days just for funsies. I would also suggest that you spend some time away from the machines altogether. Workout with free weights if possible. This allows you to follow your own arc. Every body is different but the machines are all the same.
If you are trying to “organize” your workout, you could do upper body on Tuesday, mid-section on Wednesday, lower body on Thursday with optional cardio on all days and cardio only on Sunday. However, you don’t want your workouts to become too routine. Your body adapts very quickly and will not be challenged after a short time of the same exercises.

Marie asks…
Men’s Bodybuilding – Is this to much, or not enough??
Here is a breakdown of my lifting schedule… Is this an effective workout sched?
Monday – Shoulders, abs, cardio (15 min before/15 min after)
Tues – Back, Abs, Cardio
Wed- Legs
Thurs – off
Friday – Abs, Cardio
Sat – Chest, abs, cardio
Sun – Bi’s, tri’s and forearms.
Each week I try to change it up a bit, so not to get into any ruts… and just recently started drinking whey protein, to aid in the muscle building… been doing this for about 5 years…. should I change anything???

Dirk answers:
Your workout looks good. Everything is spaced out good so your not really working the same muscles 2 days in a row. Switching it up like you said is good. I do the same thing. I go some weeks where I only work one muscle per day (similar to yours) but some weeks I work 2 per day like Chest-Shoulders then Back-Legs and then Arms-Abs. Maybe you can try that sometime to.
Overall it looks good and taking protein helps to. I dont take any now but I have before.
I have been lifting seriously for 5 years and I love it. Good luck!

Kirstie asks…
Qns on diet and workouts for a great body.?
Alright, so I wanna get abs and nice arms and a decent chest (not too big like man boobs though..)
Just wanna be LEAN but have the the muscles show.
So I was wondering 2 things :
1) What should I have in my diet? I am thin.. like 50kg. But is it true that you need to be at least quite fleshy (not fat or chubby) for the muscles to show? Can thin people show muscle too? I just started taking protein shakes after I exercise and I am eating brown rice. I try to eat a lot of meat for the protein too and of course fruits. So should I actually eat more rice for MORE carbohydrates? or should I just limit the rice and get more on the proteins..
2) Ok 2nd question. When I go to the gym. I is it true I shouldn’t work out for too long? Just like maybe 45 minutes? Because I’ve heard that if you work out too much your muscles won’t grow as effectively.. can someone justify this? Also instead of doing many reps of easy/light workout, should I do lesser reps of heavier workouts if I want the muscles to show? Like for example maybe – is 10 HEAVY Lat pull downs a day sufficient/too little/too much?
Help me out here,
Thanks loads !!

Dirk answers:
U have to kill your muscles till they cant do a single rep, and let them repair 72 hours, with a good protein based diet and 200g carbs and good fat, u will gain muscle in no time.

Charlie asks…
I am sick of shaving my chest and back every couple of days?and ladies do you like men with hair or no hair?
I do it because i workout in a wife beater and to show more muscular definition. But this is very annoying it takes me anywhere from 15-30mins to shave it off.I use back shaver to shave back and for upper body from chest and abs i use a razor.
umm not gonna wax till i go on stage and pose down.

Dirk answers:
Hair is defiently better, no hair looks to feminine!

Wayne asks…
Fitness question for men?
How many of you can actually see your abs? What is your body fat percentage? and Do you have a steady workout plan?
How do you measure body fat percentage?

Dirk answers:
You start to see abdominal muscles once your bf% gets around 12% for most people. But for them to really pop out you need to get it 10% or under. Also for some people no matter how low they get their bf% they may never “see” their abdominals due to how their muscle separation is.

Everthing You Needed To Know About 6 Pack Abs Workouts Video

Helena asks…
My New Years resolution?
Hey, I’m 14 & for my resolution I want to get a 6 pack before this summer. I started looking at some videos of workouts to get abs, but I wanted to see if theres a workout that I should be doing or anything else. I have just a small amount of fat on my stomach, so would I need to get rid of that first? or would it just go away with the workouts & all?
Thanks for any help!

Dirk answers:
Sit-ups and crunches will get rid of the flab & get you the muscles!!

Mark asks…
How do you get rid of fat on top of abs?
Ok, I’m 14 and a half. 5’1 or 61 inches. I got about 15.7% body fat. I weigh 131 pounds. And I got 4 pack or even 6. Problem is…my belly fat lies on top of it. I’ve seen many, many videos and it just talks about burning fat to obtain your 6 pack. What if you already have one. Wouldn’t you need to work even harder to burn fat since you actually use your abs to whatever exercises. I don’t want to work out…since I’m short. Crunches and sit ups are bad. I do pushups…but it is said that those don’t help BURN fat. I also want to develop muscle. But I’m not quite sure what to do. What kind of workouts. I’m starting breakdance, and I dance. I run about 1.6 km daily in gym class as warm up. Also I heard cardio work outs make it harder to burn fat. It’ll just make your muscles weak. Someone mind explaining what I could do to get rid of belly fat to show my abs…thanks to whoever. One more thing, I don’t want to buy DVDs and big machines and whatnot. Weights and etc…are ok. And also for body weight training like pushups…I also heard that it doesn’t help much since if you’re going to develop muscle mass, you’re not really developing muscles, you’re just using them. So it doesn’t matter how many you do…it won’t really help…

I wanted to get some of your opinions on when, and how often to do this. 3-5 times a week? Should I do each thing once, or go through it again? And what foods would you suggest eating to help? Protein?
If you have any questions or anything, I’d be happy to answer, and thanks!
Link seems cut out, so here’s another one:

Are cardio videos just as good as jogging? Please help me?
Okay, so I’m pretty skinny. I really want to get a six pack to impress this girl and I have until June to get it. I have a little fat on my stomach, but it prevents you from seeing ANY type of abs whatsoever. I want to lose that fat and I’m going to workout a lot too. But… As for cardio, I feel uncomfortable running in public and I don’t have access to a gym or treadmill. So would cardio videos (you know…) help me just as much? Also is it possible to get 6 pack abs by June?

Dirk answers:
You have plenty of time…It’s as simple as calories in / calories out…Doesn’t matter how you get your heart rate up,just that ya do…Jumpin jacks…ride your bike…swimming…It’s all good.Good luck Kid

There is a store called Forever 21 aimed at women. Why do you think they chose the name “Forever 21“? how come it’s not “forever 23″? Are they trying to imply that 21 is the best year of your life and it should last forever if it could?
